Three items are flagged by Giacomo in For Discussion.
3.3.2 - Form control labels using non-text content #4626. Bringing back to original topic. Controversial The heart as check-off button is interesting. Screen reading software doesn't treat buttons as "user input". When is a button a form input — and when is it a UIC? There are other formats which are not form inputs. Another example is filter functions any associated ascending/descending sort. Hypertext links can be visually designed as buttons, and button elements in html can be function indistinguishable from hypertext links. Dan pointed out that we already have an Understanding example of using magnifying glass for a global search field. Some testing presumes that lack of "tool tip" is a failure. Giacomo will incorporate feedback. We should be clear what passes/fails, and what is (perhaps barely) sufficient. It will be clearer to designers/developers to say what’s common and what’s acceptable and what's a best recommended best practice.
Updated "A document collection" example since obsolete - SC 2.4.2 #4631. Giacomo proposed a more complex example using APG example. Bruce wanted to regain "document collection" as top level heading. Mike offered to review.
We did not address Drafted column. We still hope to have a list of items for AGWG to review before the end of the calendar year.
