Closes #14. Depends on #7 and targets its initial branch deliberately. The owner requested this composition before the initial main merge: integrate this correction only after its own current-head checks and Codex AND CodeRabbit reviews, then renew the same gates on #7's resulting HEAD before main. No automatic merge or release.

Uses published fast-forward/container1.10.1 at a75dda2c8a9bd9cb2ef5bb25abc1a6b09de8a298, Config1.7.3 and provider0.4.1. Runtime libraries remain separate from dependency development tooling. No unpublished PR49 behavior or Container repository edits.

Native autowiring resolves Application, distinct AsCommand POPO check/fix commands, shared orchestration, Git selection and file filtering. A module provider binds only the four interface/path dependencies. The binary supplies actual vendor/output inputs; domain classes retain constructor injection. Native AggregateServiceProvider/ArrayServiceProvider provide explicit tested overrides, with no parallel container/provider registry.

Preflight: base 9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7 → head e380812cf73079f2d2e1acf506daf6ee83e264bf. Independent read-only reviewer /root/adr_checkpoint_review approved this exact identity (documentation-only correction after b097b65); reexecuted23 tests/122 assertions on the identical runtime/lock/test tree,20-file syntax/ECS, strict Composer, actionlint and whitespace checks on PHP8.5.11. Changelog contribution validation also passes locally.

Tests prove lazy composition/shared identity, concrete command registration and binding, nested transport/output overrides, exact failed-tool status and write flag, original factory failure preservation, objective invalid-installation errors and raw subprocess output. Remote PHP8.3/8.4/8.5 quality workflow passed on this head: https://github.com/php-fast-forward/code-standards/actions/runs/39664801525 . Current-head Codex and CodeRabbit remain independent gates.

No consumers/security settings changed, no self-hostedCI and no tags/releases. Local approval and skipped/unavailable/stale reviews never satisfy the remote merge gate.

The previous CodeRabbit review completed on bcf5387 with no functional finding and five LGTM comments, plus a valid documentation typo. This new HEAD fixes that typo and incorporates the published symlink regression from the initial branch. Fresh independent review approved this exact new identity; the previous CodeRabbit result does not satisfy the new-head gate. Its included hourly allowance was consumed around19:24 UTC; wait until eligible (estimated20:24 UTC) before one supported renewed request. No duplicate request or merge.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Improved command-line standards execution through consistent service composition.
    • Added validation for the configured Composer vendor directory and ECS executable.
    • Improved routing of process errors to the command’s error output.
  • Documentation

    • Documented CLI composition, service configuration, output handling, command entry points, and failure behavior.
    • Clarified outcomes for successful, invalid-input, syntax, and style checks.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Preserved underlying exception causes when setup fails.
    • Preserved tool exit statuses for syntax and style failures.

The CLI now uses Fast Forward Container to compose its application. A new service provider supplies output, process, project-configuration, and standards-running bindings. Tests cover overrides, command execution, validation, and failure propagation.

Changes: CLI composition

Layer / File(s) Summary
Provider bindings and composition contract
composer.json, src/DependencyInjection/StandardsServiceProvider.php, docs/architecture.md
Adds the fast-forward/container runtime dependency and a provider with validated vendor-directory input and lazy service bindings. Documents the published composition API and its boundaries.
CLI resolution and composition validation
bin/code-standards, tests/DependencyInjection/CompositionTest.php, README.md, .changelog/framework-composition.md
The CLI creates a container, resolves Application, and runs it. Tests cover overrides, command execution, output binding, failure propagation, and vendor validation. The README records CLI outcome rules, and the changelog records the composition change.

Explanation

Issue #14 coding requirements are met. composer.json adds published fast-forward/container ~1.10.1, and StandardsServiceProvider implements Interop\Container\ServiceProviderInterface with four focused bindings. The binary resolves Application; domain services remain constructor-injected. CompositionTest verifies lazy construction, shared application identity, command registration, deterministic aggregate overrides, collaborator replacement, transport and output overrides, failure-cause preservation, invalid-installation errors, and exit-status/write-flag behavior. The supplied PR evidence reports separate runtime and development dependencies, no Container PR #49 dependency, and hosted PHP 8.3–8.5 checks. Review and merge-gate requirements are non-coding checks.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The changes stay within issue #14. The binary bootstrap, provider, composition tests, architecture documentation, README clarification, and changelog entry support the requested composition boundary or document its behavior. The supplied evidence reports no consumer migration, parallel container framework, unpublished dependency, Container repository edit, release, or unrelated CI/security change.

@coderabbitai review

Please review current HEAD bcf5387 against base b5d963b. Automatic review was skipped solely because this contextual correction targets the initial PR branch. This is one supported review request; do not bypass quota or configuration gates. Actual current-head review without pending findings is required before normal integration, followed by renewed review of the resulting initial PR HEAD.

Evaluated the additional documentation finding: confirmed the missing space in experimental0.4 and corrected it to experimental (0.4), also clarifying Console 7.4 / PR #49 spacing. Published and read back b097b65, now based on9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7 including the verified symlink fix. Fresh independent review approved this exact head;23 tests122 assertions,20-file syntax/ECS, strict Composer, actionlint and whitespace pass. @codex review

Please review current HEAD e380812 against base9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7. Latest visible code review is completed on the prior b097b65; no current-head code review is reported. This is one supported code-review request, without restarting the separately running security review. The new commit only clarifies invalid config paths versus tool exit statuses; hosted PHP8.3/8.4/8.5 passed on this exact head. Current-head review remains required before integration; no merge is requested here.

@coderabbitai review

One supported renewed request after the hourly window (previous request19:24:34 UTC; now after20:24:40). Current read-back HEAD e380812, base9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7. No CodeRabbit review is reported running and previous coverage remains bcf5387.

The valid additional typo finding was corrected; this HEAD also incorporates the reviewed preset-symlink correction and clarifies configuration-path versus tool exit statuses. Current-head Codex code AND automatic security reviews completed without findings; hosted PHP8.3/8.4/8.5 passed. Please review this current identity; old/skipped coverage will not satisfy the merge gate. If allowance remains unavailable, report the gate; no duplicate request, quota bypass or merge is requested.

Evaluated the additional grammar finding in review5605803450: valid. Corrected the README sentence to 'An empty PHP selection is a successful no-op.' Published and independently read back accfc7d; the diff from e380812 is exactly that one line. Fresh independent documentation review approved this exact identity after rereading README/architecture. Runtime, tests and lockfile are unchanged.

CodeRabbit genuinely completed e380812 with technical LGTM, but that result does not approve the new accfc7d HEAD. The consumed allowance again reports0/1 hourly; next eligible renewal estimated after21:25 UTC, to verify before one supported request. No additional CodeRabbit request or merge. Current-head hosted checks/Codex must also be read back; no approval is inferred from prior results.

@codex review

One current-head code-review request for accfc7d, base9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7. The previous code review completed on e380812; no current-head review is reported. This one-line README correction addresses the valid CodeRabbit grammar finding, with independent exact-head documentation approval and hosted quality run39671112430 success. Runtime/lock/tests unchanged. Do not restart the separate security review or infer merge approval from the prior SHA. CodeRabbit renewal remains held for hourly eligibility after21:25 UTC.

@coderabbitai review

One supported renewal after the next hourly window: previous request20:25:00 UTC, now21:25:15+. Fresh readback confirms unchanged HEAD accfc7d, base9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7. Your previous command reports Review finished and coverage remains e380812; no current CodeRabbit execution is reported. The prior allowance receipt was0/1; no separate quota-query capability is available here, so your actual response must establish availability, not an assumed reset. If still unavailable, report the gate; no duplicate or alternate request is authorized.

Current change is the evaluated README grammar correction ('An empty PHP selection is a successful no-op.'); runtime/lock/tests unchanged since prior technical LGTM. Current-head Codex code completed without findings; current hosted39671112430 succeeded on PHP8.3/8.4/8.5; independent exact-head documentation review approved. Separate automatic security remains running and must not be restarted. Please assess this current identity; prior/skipped coverage will not count as approval. No merge is requested by this comment.

Platform gate21:45 UTC: after current Codex code and CodeRabbit reviews completed clean, all exact-head checks succeeded, no inline threads and native GitHub stateCLEAN, one normal connector merge with expectedaccfc7d was rejected by the platform's automatic approval reviewer as unauthorized. The rejection claimed an earlier no-merge restriction despite the scoped authorization supplied to this task. No alternative or retry was used.

Fresh readback confirms this PR remains OPEN, merged=false, headaccfc7deb58aee8ca9cdd4da5ddfb55851ed07af/base9666d997c864e4e74b7ca0ca8cbce849091353a7 unchanged. Merge actions are stopped pending clarification of that platform authorization gate. No source or repository setting changed; no main publication/tag/release/v0.

The separate automatic security phase remains running but explicitly reports mergeGateEnabled=false and contributes no check-run; it was not treated as a clean security result and was not restarted. It was also not disabled or bypassed. The actual blocker now is the platform merge rejection.
