The repo root gains a README built from NOTES.md: the trust invariant, a
mermaid diagram of actors, realms, trust domains, and the major
interactions between them (color-coded by domain: trusted-static /
client TCB / sandboxed / live-untrusted / peers), a short reading guide
for what the boxes cannot carry (realms, linker-as-permissions, access
tiers, the consent-surface exception, detection-shaped static trust,
headless placement), the repository layout, and the substrate links.

NOTES.md stays the authority; the README says so up front.

The diagram was render-verified against mermaid@11 (the major GitHub
serves) under the demo's pinned Playwright Chromium.

Automerge is armed per org convention.
