Description

The Video Recorder's scene is a single gaussian splat, but its <pc-app> kept the defaults. The splat therefore rendered into the 4× multisampled backbuffer. Debug builds warn:

Gaussian splats on layer 'World' are rendered into the multisampled render target 'WebgpuFramebuffer' (4 samples), which makes them several times more expensive to render.

This PR gives the page the <pc-app> settings that Basic Splat, Splat Annotations, Splat Flipbook and Splat Streaming already use: antialias="false" depth-buffer="false" max-pixel-ratio="1" stencil-buffer="false". The scene has no meshes or sky, so neither the depth nor the stencil buffer is needed. A recording switches the canvas to the video's fixed resolution, so the pixel-ratio cap affects only the live preview. The page loads no XR scripts, so it stays on WebGPU rather than taking backend="webgl2" like the four XR splat pages.

Testing

Run locally in headless Chrome on WebGPU, on both the release and the debug engine:

  • The page boots with a single-sampled backbuffer, and the debug engine no longer warns.
  • A 3-second recording through the videoRecorder script still renders at 1920×1080, captures 181 frames, and finalizes about 6 MB of MP4.

The Video Recorder draws a single gaussian splat, but its pc-app kept
the defaults, so the splat rendered into the 4x multisampled
backbuffer. Debug builds warn that this makes splats several times
more expensive to render.

Use the settings every other splat page shares: no antialiasing,
depth or stencil buffer, and a pixel ratio of 1. A recording sets the
canvas to the video's own fixed resolution, so the cap only affects
the live preview. The page loads no XR scripts, so it stays on
WebGPU.
