`cargo build --locked` failed on a fresh checkout.
this makes the release binary go from ~11MB to ~3MB on my machine.

shrinks the produced binary from 5MB to 3MB (edited: previously had a wrong base number)
edit: also add a commit after runnning
nix flake updateto bring turn up to make CI happy.
