Summary

Promote dev to main for stable LG Buddy 1.10.1. This patch release fixes Plasma setup checks failing after a verified automatic upgrade because installed KWin support files retained private staging permissions.

The release contains only #309 and the 1.10.1 version preparation in #310: five changed files, with no dependency changes. The installer restores readable permissions on the installed KWin tree while keeping updater staging private; the cross-version smoke covers that transition.

Scope

• This PR addresses one concern only.
• I split unrelated fixes, refactors, cleanup, or formatting into separate PRs.
• I read CONTRIBUTING.md and the relevant docs linked there.
• I discussed design-sensitive changes first, or this is a small obvious bug fix.

User-Visible Behavior

Normal upgrades preserve the permissions needed by the desktop user to inspect and load the installed KWin integration. Runtime and GUI versions advance to 1.10.1.

Fix Plasma integration checks failing after an automatic upgrade (#300). Installed KWin support files now retain the permissions needed by the desktop user, removing the need to reinstall manually to restore Plasma setup.

Validation

• All 14 CI checks passed on Fix KWin payload permissions after verified upgrades #309 and Prepare LG Buddy 1.10.1 #310, including Rust and GTK tests, the KWin matrix, release-bundle smoke, pinned cross-version upgrade, and Fedora/Arch bundle validation.
• Real disposable Arch Plasma Wayland validation of Fix KWin payload permissions after verified upgrades #309 confirmed successful compatibility-helper and native KWin status checks, correct installed permissions and ownership, unchanged private staging, and preserved user configuration and credentials.
• Regression test fails with the original installer and passes with the fix.
• Local promotion validation accepts the exact merged dev head 267d7e0cd65393eaeeaccad20ab3ee97d18a6d73 as stable 1.10.1, advancing both release channels from 1.10.0 with no existing version tag.
• Required promotion checks will revalidate the current refs and release bundle before merge. Publication will use the protected workflow's verified staged assets.
