OiPer is a small team founded by Nazmus Sayad and al-imam.

We started out building an email template builder, back when the AI era was just beginning.

While working on it, we needed a name with real meaning. We spent over a month making lists of possible names. In the end, we found OiPer — a word from our native language, Bengali, that means "other side." That was the one that stuck.

As AI kept getting better, an email template builder stopped making sense. Around the same time, AI prompting was taking off, and we realized we could build a dictation app pretty easily. A quick proof of concept turned out to feel more like a production app, so we shifted our focus.

Today, OiPer is a voice-to-text desktop app.
