Fix wire format parsing in MATLAB and verilog to support booleans, strings, and nested arrays #574
Hi @pradeeban, I have verified the local environment and tests and gone through the current MATLAB and verilog wire format handling. I did like to start working on the parser changes and add the corresponding tests.
The main issues to fix are :
In concore_read.m, regexprep and sscanf('%f') strip nested brackets and drop non-numeric tokens (e.g. True/False, "strings"), which leads to silent data corruption when communicating with Python/C++ nodes.
In concore_write.m, num2str(val, ",%e") fails on cell arrays and strings.
In concore.v, the fixed %c%e scanner fails on non-flat numeric payloads.
