I see this project needs more attention and active maintainer which could be me. You can know me as author of es6-tween of tweenjs. I can maintain both es6-tween and tween.js which each of separate path OR could Merge for best of both worlds.

In any project path, if you're trusting me, you can make me maintainer to this project (but please with GitHub app permission access)

Shall we archive es6-tween and start a new Timeline feature in main? It is an exciting idea.

Later we could create UIs to visualize timelines on tracks. Example timeline tracks from a different project:

That screenshot is from timeline-css, which is an interesting project that maps CSS animations to visual timelines. It is a two-way binding: update the CSS code and the visual timeline will update, or update the visual timeline and it will update the CSS code.

One thing that could be useful would be to have a converter that maps CSS animations to Tween.js, to make it easy to extract CSS animations for use with other JS-only tools like Three.js, canvas libs, etc.

@trusktr I would keep es6-tween repo and use that repo as experimental room but port essential features to main repo (tween.js). If you wish, you can transfer es6-tween to my profile @dalisoft

If we had a AI Pro/Max 20x subscription i could do more updates than before with manual verify each PR/feature but do my best as possible. As timeline i prefer https://shapeshifter.design timeline feature. But i look into timeline-css project

Cool. I have no preference on other timelines, but only prefer code to be as simple and cleanly organized as possible. Tween.js inherited (via Sole at the time) that ethos from Three.js back in the day.

Yeah, I bet we can get much further more quickly with agentic work. The main work is reviewing nowadays haha. As long as we review all code, then we'll own it, and it will be as good as if we wrote it.

I've also been studying async data stream patterns using "signals and effects" (animations are a subset of the concepts, where the data is a position or a rotation). I imagine a new core built on signals for easier, terser, more-composable, more robust animation code. I've been using the concepts in other projects already, but need to bring the ideas into this repo.
