I see that mvn jetty is not working as a jetty plugin is not part of the maven. I fixed the pom file by adding the below lines <project> ..... <build> <finalName>vivek-jersey-sample</finalName> <plugins> <plugin> <groupId>org.eclipse.jetty</groupId> <artifactId>jetty-maven-plugin</artifactId> <version>9.4.5.v20170502</version> </plugin> </plugins> </build> </build>
