Problem / motivation
At the moment there is no way to add desktop icons without creating a custom .desktop file
Proposed solution
Add an "Add to desktop" option in the right click menu of apps in the application drawer
There is an extension that does the exact same thing on GNOME called "Add to Desktop" that does the same thing, it add an "add to desktop" entry in the right click menus of applications listed in the app drawer, so that you can add a desktop icon of them with ease.
