[Bug]: Desktop icons of applications don't load their image and just have a text file image

What happened?

I've got Steam and a Game as a desktop icon and the issue is that they don't have their respective icons but just a text file icon

Steps to reproduce

1. add a Steam desktop icon

Expected behavior

The desktop icon should have it's respective icon

Component / area

Shell (panel, dock, overview, control center)

How are you running Singularity?

Inside the Singularity session, logged in through the greeter

Distribution

Fedora 44

How did you install it?

Built from source

Logs / output

I don't have logs for that as far as I know

so this is mostly fixed, the only thing that is still happening is that the desktop icons of applications still have the ".desktop" part visible

yes it works now, they don't have the ".desktop" part anymore, thanks!
