Performance Audit

Bottlenecks identified and fixed:

Screenshots passed to annotation/encoding at full device resolution (1080p+)	Resize to 0.5× before annotation (configurable via SCREENSHOT_SCALE env var)	75% fewer pixels → faster annotation drawing and encoding
re.search(pattern, ...) compiled on every XML node during Snapshot	Pre-compiled _BOUNDS_RE at module level in tree/utils.py	Eliminates regex recompilation across hundreds of nodes per call
import threading inside capture_data — re-imported on every tool call	Moved to module-level import	Minor overhead removed

Note on SCREENSHOT_SCALE: Defaults to 0.5 (half resolution). Set SCREENSHOT_SCALE=0.7 to match the old behavior of get_screenshot(), or SCREENSHOT_SCALE=1.0 to keep full resolution.

• Gather context and read codebase
• Fix PNG compression level (compress_level=1) in screenshot_in_bytes and as_base64
• Scale screenshot to 0.5x before annotation in get_state (configurable via SCREENSHOT_SCALE env var)
• Pre-compile regex in tree/utils.py
• Move import threading to module level in service.py
• Remove asyncio.sleep(1) from unused lifespan function
• Commit and push changes
