[companion app] [Linux] uses a lot of CPU.

I use the official Linux companion app, version 1.40.0.

When I make any interactions with it, it uses quite a lot of CPU power: About 30% of one core of a low end Intel (N4100) CPU. For just scrolling or displaying a notification message, not doing any number crunching, this is quite a lot.
Also, some interactions feel slow/ laggy (I think mainly when it wants to do some animations -- feature wish: Option to switch them off).
