TCMz sensor reporting very high values

I'm running Hot on a Macbook Pro M1 (2020).

Under higher than average sustained load, the TCMz sensor reports high temperatures in the 90-120 C range. And yet, the computer is just slightly warm and the fans are not audible. Most other sensors are staying in the 50-60 C range.

Is it known what this sensor is reporting? Is it possible that the value is incorrect? What values are you getting?

It was okay on the previous macOS.

I'm on a new M4 Macbook Air.
Sorting by descending temperature, TCMz is indeed pretty much stuck at the top, but for me there are usually several other sensors with the same temperature that change.
If I didn't know any better I would assume TCMz to be the max temperature at any given time.

For me a sensor labelled as TVMR and TVMr spike to 90-103 C when running emulation softwares like PCSX2 but also reaches to 85 C when I have 5/6 basic mac apps on. It stays at those temps until I reduce processes. When I close down PCSX2 I notice the temps drop to around 70 C. Besides that one value all other values stay at around 55-60 C. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be worried, this sounds cooler than my temps and my Macbook runs great

I wouldn't be worried, this sounds cooler than my temps and my Macbook runs great

What temps are you getting for the TVMR on hot?

My TCMz reads 65 Celsius, about a minute after finishing a gaming session of "This War of Mine"

I do not see a sensor named TVMR

If you look at the sensor list, it's there. For me that sensor is showing really high temps. If you open preferences and go to the select sensor option arrange them according to temp and it should be around the high region.

Could you check your TVMr? And does your TCMz stay around 65-75 during web browsing?

I thought I checked TVMr, weird. TCMz does definitely spike even during web browsing. I'd say 65-85 degrees is a normal range
