idea: instant replay

I think it would be a game changing idea to add an instant replay feature so we can see what a player did in the past (for example, 5 seconds before a kill) to check if they were looking through walls or using any sort of cheats. I'm not sure what impact this would have on player performance, and it would need a lot of testing, but I believe it's worth the shot. I can also help with some or all of the work myself.

For context, this would need to remain on the client side until it is requested by the server.

Also, a quick question for @itschip or any contributor who knows the answer: can malicious clients stop/manipulate the recording before it is sent to the server? If so, is there anything we can do?

Hi @n3xuuu ! Very cool idea! I'll have a look into how we could achieve something that would be generic enough.

As for the question, all video exports are server-side only. I'm not going to disclose right here how someone could get a hold of a token, but it's something I am fixing to make sure the security is better.
