Both commands do go through the proxy. I ran them from a Git for Windows 2.48.1 clone of that repository with What differs is what happens inside the tunnel:
To see which of the two it is, run the fetch with tracing: GIT_CURL_VERBOSE=1 GIT_TRACE_PACKET=1 git fetch https://gerrit.collaboraoffice.com/online refs/changes/81/15581/14If the output ends with To make the wait fail instead of hang, you can give the transfer a low-speed timeout for that one command. After 60 s without data it aborts with git -c http.lowSpeedLimit=1000 -c http.lowSpeedTime=60 fetch https://gerrit.collaboraoffice.com/online refs/changes/81/15581/14If it turns out to be the proxy's idle timeout, the options are asking the proxy admin about the timeout for CONNECT tunnels, or fetching that change over Gerrit's SSH port ( |
