ISC-FINOS: Create shared Responsibility Document

Description of Problem:

Create a shared responsibility document

• Who is responsible for what
• How we will manage the events
• How everything will run under the FINOS governance rules
• How joint marketing will work
• How minutes will be published and hosted
• Do we have common code of conducts and how we manage escalations
• How licensing (e.g. InnerSource whitepaper)
  • depends on where it will be published
  • In which git hub will it be
• Consumption of InnerSource commons content
  • Contribution is under FINOS infra
  • Need to go to FINOS repo
  • Under a permissible license ( hosted by FINOS publicly)
    • there might be a mirror site in ISC for this content

Definition of Done:

• hosted as a MD file in FINOS InnerSource commons SIG github

• Clarify on RACI - FINOS Staff vs FINOS/ISC SIG leads - Jane
• Selection process of SIG Leads - Matt

Decisions:

• ISC members can have access to FINOS ISC GitHub
• Initiation of Marketing will be by ISC and with notice propagated by FINOS to the membership

Licence:

• InnerSource Commons Licence is CC-SA
• FINOS also appears to use same for publication, via https://github.com/finos/OSLC-handbook/blob/master/LICENSE
• Agree use that licence by default.
• Contributors need to get their own clearance for publication under such a licence.

Publication:

• For publication from SIG, InnerSource Commons Foundation is happy to have FINOS lead with a dual publication on InnerSource website.

Selection process of SIG Leads - Matt

• Proposal is that SIG Lead from InnerSource Commons is appointed by the InnerSource Board to represent the foundation.
