build a coding environment #40
Description
Most often, coding is not the hardest part, but to build up an environment, where you can actually code.
- install Visual Studio Code
- use the terminal
- install extensions like Vim mode, Containers, Git lens, SQL Tools etc.
- debug scripts using the VS launcher
- knowing and circumventing the PAW (Privileged Admin Workstation) restrictions on Windows machines
- connect your project with gitlab.ethz.ch
- how to deal with secrets
- how to use Code Pilot meaningfully
