I looked and couldn't find this in the documentation, but I was poking around and found a site that stated as of 7.1, FFMPEG supports Dolby Vision when using x265. In the Custom ffmpeg options field, if you add
and use HEVC (x265), it works and plays back correctly on a NVIDIA shield. No RPU files or other software needed. Thought I'd make a post in case anyone else is looking for this info.

-dolbyvision 1 -x265-params vbv-maxrate=30000:vbv-bufsize=30000and use HEVC (x265), it works and plays back correctly on a NVIDIA shield. No RPU files or other software needed. Thought I'd make a post in case anyone else is looking for this info.
