canon 250d and .cr3 format

Hi. I've been trying to use my canon 250d with astropimaker4 for several days and I can't get it to recognize raw files. I have read that it is compatible with .cr3 files but it does not recognize them. I have used ccdciel and I can't achieve anything. Is it my fault?
