`undefined` appears at end of messages after pasting text

undefined appears at end of messages after pasting text

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a channel
2. Type a few characters
3. Paste some text
4. see undefined appear at end of text

Expected behavior
The word undefined should not be injected into the input bar
