What
Today an agent is reached through the Agenta app and through triggers. We want people to reach an agent where they already work: Slack, Telegram, and similar messaging surfaces.
A channel connects a messaging surface to an agent. An incoming message starts or continues a session, and the agent's reply is delivered back to that same surface.
Scope
- Map a channel to a specific agent (and environment/revision).
- Inbound: a message on the channel starts or resumes an agent session.
- Outbound: the agent's response is delivered back to the channel, including threaded replies where the surface supports them.
- Per-channel authentication and setup.
